The 411 on bingo gaming machines

bingo gaming machinesThere’s an interesting development taking place in the world and it relates to an unusual marriage between slot machine gaming and bingo. It gets especially interesting when one considers that in several countries, bingo is legal but slots are prohibited. There is a useful way around this though – take a look :)

I’d like to express my deep gratitude to all fellow bingo gamers and readers of bingo room – you guys have certainly helped to make this blog the most comprehensive bingo blog online. A particularly interesting subject was raised the other day. And it got me thinking: how do some countries work around their gambling restrictions in order to ‘satisfice’ bingo players and slots gamers – when only one of the two options is legally permissible. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a firm proponent of strictly legal online gaming practices and that’s my stance all the time. When it comes to some of the rather archaic laws governing gaming practices I support the ‘legal loopholes’ that provide gamers with choices – especially where bingo is concerned.

What exactly is a bingo gaming machine?

In essence, these bingo machines are highly sophisticated slot machines (e.g. bejeweled slots) that simply play bingo.  What’s great about these machines is that they merge the joys of slot machine gaming with bingo gaming in a totally legal (where they’re used) manner. And best of all many casinos have been rushing to design, develop and manufacture these bingo slot machines. They work in much the same manner as your typical slot machine in that players need to deposit coins in order to activate the spinning reels (random number generators RNG all the way) and win real cash (with a twist). Players will notice that the look and feel of these bingo machines is much the same as slot machines. The trick here is to match and form patterns and then to cash in.  Winning with a bingo gaming machine is way different to winning at slots.

This is the clincher: your winning card gets printed and deposited in the tray. You then take your golden ticket and go to the cashier and exchange it for your winnings.

It’s a good thing that in these countries where this had been an issue – they’ve all been sorted out. Bingo players are the ones who benefit from these developments. In the USA these bingo gaming machines are surging in popularity in states like CA and PA. These bingo machines are ubiquitous in places like churches, bingo halls and old-age care centers. And best of all the only restriction that government is placing on these machines is this: they must contain pull out tabs for winning tickets -what a win!

What are your thoughts on bingo gaming machines? Do you think they should be legalized? What about the benefits of bingo gaming for charities and local community centres? Send me your feedback here in the comments.
