Getting Married? Bingo Can Help

Here in the UK there’s a popular tradition of hosting bridal showers. These parties present fabulous opportunities to have a good laugh, meet up with friends and family and of course to congratulate the bride-to-be. But what few folks know – and what I came across quite by accident – was that bingo can be quite an attractive entertainment option here.

Getting Married Bingo Can HelpWhen I first told my mates about this idea, they were shell-shocked. I remember being told: “Jeremy, you’re at it again! Bingo at weddings – are you for real?” But the truth is that bridal shower bingo is all the rage. It’s so popular in fact that there are pages, upon pages of it displayed in directories and search engine listings. People want to bring the joy of bingo to their festivities – it makes sense.

So, if your best friend or even a member of your family is getting married, it’s time to shower them with bridal bingo.

How to get started with a bingo bridal shower

I dug a little and soon found that getting started is a cinch. One simply has to print out multiple different number variations of bingo cards. Typically, in my experience, there are some 15 or more bingo cards printed.  And getting them is really simple. They are readily available off the Internet and it only takes a few seconds to print them from home.

Pop the bubbly and enjoy the game

Luckily I have done this a few times and I can attest to the fact that you should use cardboard to enhance the quality of the bingo cards. Here’s where it gets a little interesting too. As opposed to numbers on normal bingo cards, you should use words. Well things like bridal, love, maid of honor, hubby, marriage, nuptial, wedding, baby shower – these are the type of words you should expect. Naturally the whole point of this version of bingo is to celebrate the upcoming wedding. So we use only words that are applicable and appropriate.  And what you will no doubt witness is a competitive side to your aunt Mavis or uncle Joe that you never knew existed.

I remember my surprise when I was picked at a mate’s wedding to be the bingo caller. Always up for a good time, I was chuffed at the honor. Notice that instead of having some random number generator (RNG) fishing out bingo numbers from its data bank, it was me pulling words out of a hat. Each word called corresponded to a block on the bingo cards. Fill up an entire row, column or diagonal and it’s bingo! On all these bridal shower bingo cards, there is a free space smack in the centre. And there are many stores selling these bridal bingo shower cards too – one can imagine the intricate and romantic decorations adorning them.

Laura, Bridal Shower Bingo is a relatively novel concept. It came about as a direct result of the popularity of bingo. Since the online bingo revolution, it's pretty clear that this is the game that has folks buzzing with excitement. Indeed bingo is the fastest growing game – in terms of player sign ups and online bingo room feedback. So it makes sense to bring some of the magic to weddings. :)

I notice a lot of talk in the media – esp. the gaming world about these RNGs and stuff. Who controls the RNG settings? Is it the online bingo rooms? This is all so new to me and I've decided to join my buddies in our weekly Bingo for Boys night. Thanks.
